Protective Coatings

IMAP Auditors survey an organization’s piping, equipment, tanks vessels and structures to identify deficiencies or rate of deterioration of the coating/lining system. IMAP auditors are professionally trained by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and are capable of accessing the current condition of your coatings and lining systems for piping, equipment and structures. IMAP auditors provide the customer with a clear preventative maintenance plan for long-term protection.

What does a Protective Coatings Auditor do?

  • Evaluates the condition coatings and lining systems on equipment, piping and structures

  •  Follows industry standard guidelines

  •  Provides detailed reports on coatings and lining condition throughout the facility

  •  Recommends repairs to prioritize maintenance needs

  •  Identifies potential Corrosion Under Coatings problems

IMAP Audits Inc. developed a systematic approach to meet preventative maintenance requirements. Using IMAP’s leading edge technology, audits are conducted to identify where problems exist and the physical condition of coatings and lining systems.  Results of the audit are tracked using IMAP’s leading edge software by integrating audit results into engineer’s drawings and plant isometrics and incorporating digital imaging for ease of identification.  These records become an invaluable risk management tool.  By identifying where problems exist, prioritizing maintenance requirements, lead abatement priorities, and how to approach repairs if problems exists, increases plant safety and reduces business risk exponentially.
